Amputee Coalition of America is a national non-profit organization providing extensive resources, peer support, outreach and education to individual amputees, amputee caregivers, limb loss professionals and those dealing with the effects of limb loss.

Blue Ridge Independent Living Center

The Blue Ridge Independent Living Center assists people with disabilities to live independently. The Center also serves the community at large by helping to create an environment that is accessible to all.

The Center serves residents of the Fifth Planning District of Virginia which includes the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig, and Roanoke and the cities of Covington, Roanoke, and Salem.

FREE - The Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment

FREE, The Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment, was created by a group of caring volunteers from the Roanoke Valley rehabilitation medical services community to provide rehabilitation equipment such as canes, wheelchairs, and orthotic and prosthetic devices to needy citizens when funds are not available from any other sources.
